Recent works

My recent works have taken on performative elements, where the act of drawing is as much part of the artwork as the end result. The marks and lines were applied intuitively by removing objective thinking and rational analysing, as well as relying on compulsion. The focus is on what is happening between the artist and the surface via the pen - the flow at the moment of creation. The lines and marks made on the surface therefore act as remnants of what occurred in that particular time and space.

In addition, the resulted abstract and ambiguous shapes, that were purged unconsciously/serendipitously out of me, are mysterious yet full of possibilities of what they might be, reminiscent of the state before something comes into being - the point just before forms materialise.
