These three drawings, created in 2008, mark the departure from my previous structured process of drawing to the gradual development of a more instinctual unplanned method that incorporates chance, automatism and intuition.The fineliner pens were used to create semi-automatic flowing lines and marks, which together form the whole image.

The beginning of...the end (intended to be a diptych) came after the completion of The Beginning, taking what was created to further develop that organic, birth/beginning and death/end theme.
