Drawings
Drawing for me is the most direct way to release something from within the mind. It is a means for self-reflection, reaction to our surroundings, finding answers and a way of learning how to "see".
My drawings are developed through the process of maintaining the balance between controlling and letting go - a practice that could be applied to most things in life. I let intuition guide me as I develop my work. I have intent but I am not restricted to a plan.
I am fascinated and inspired by anatomy and the human body (an on-going theme in my work) and place them in interesting poses/situations to reflect on my mental and physical environment.
I tend to group works into a series, I view it like a record album with a bunch of songs. Each series consists of works that explore a theme or were produced in the same period of time or perhaps I was in a particular state of mind when I made them.
The galleries here, except for FINE LINES , are the different series of works I made.
FINE LINES gallery holds individual drawings that are not part of any series and are made over different periods of time and hence will be updated now and then.
